Scheduled Network Maintenance – Saturday, March 14, 2026

CCS will perform scheduled network maintenance in the McVey data center on Saturday, March 14, 2026 to improve reliability and expand network connectivity for research computing systems.

What to Expect

During the maintenance window:

  • New SSH logins to clusters may be temporarily unavailable
  • Open OnDemand and CCS web services may be inaccessible from off-campus networks
  • Globus transfers may pause during the maintenance window
  • Some virtual machines and storage services hosted in McVey may experience interruptions

What Will Not Be Affected

  • Existing running jobs on CCS clusters will continue normally
  • Systems already connected to the cluster should remain operational

Additional Notes

This work involves network upgrades and infrastructure improvements supporting both the McVey computing environment and connectivity with partner systems such as EduceLab.
